Dynamic Activity Templates (DATs) incorporate authentic materials and real-life tasks to help teachers actively participate in the material development process. Teachers search for DATs through an online database and then download and customize the DAT to meet classroom needs. Educators can search for DATs by seven parameters, including topic, function, and level.

DATs are available in Spanish and Japanese through ClassPak, a Web-based, data-driven instructional support tool offered by CASLS’ partner company Avant Assessment.

CASLS developed DATs with sponsorship from the U.S. Department of Education Title VI program and the Institute for International Education.
