University of Oregon Chinese Flagship Program

Choosing a college and a program that fits your goals and strengths is an important decision. Students who love the Chinese language and culture will feel right at home at the University of Oregon Chinese Flagship Program, regardless of their major.

The Chinese Flagship is a four-year, honors-level program that allows students to complete the program alongside any of the UO's 137 different majors. Internships, study abroad programs, and cultural activities complement students' academic work. Although the UO is a large public university, the Flagship Program creates a close-knit community of students who are committed to developing their Chinese. Those who graduate from the Chinese Flagship have professional-level skills in Mandarin Chinese, which makes them competitive for the job market or graduate school.
