The National Language Flagship, operated by the National Security Education Program, offers undergraduates studying African languages, Hindi/Urdu, Korean, Mandarin Chinese, Persian, and Russian four-year programs designed to help them reach professional-level proficiency while pursuing academic majors of their choice.

Internships, study abroad programs, and cultural activities complement students' academic work. Those who graduate from Flagship Programs have professional-level language skills, making them competitive for the job market or graduate school.
