The Language Flagship prepares students for academic and professional success.
The National Language Flagship
The National Language Flagship, operated by the National Security Education Program, offers undergraduates studying African languages, Hindi/Urdu, Korean, Mandarin Chinese, Persian, and Russian four-year programs designed to help them reach professional-level proficiency while pursuing academic majors of their choice. Internships, study abroad programs, and cultural activities complement students' academic work. Those who graduate from Flagship Programs have professional-level language skills, making them competitive for the job market or graduate school. CASLS encourages those interested in new paradigms of language learning to learn more about The National Language Flagship and its programs at universities across the country. The Language Flagship is funded through the National Security Education Program (NSEP).
