National Assessments

There are a number of ways to assess the performance and achievement students make while attending the Chinese Flagship program at PPS.

NOELLA (National Online Early Language Learning Assessment)

Chinese NOELLA is designed to help assess early language learners in grades 3-6. This Mandarin Chinese test was developed by Chinese K-8 teachers from across the country using national ACTFL standards. We will use NOELLA to help measure student performance in reading, writing, speaking and listening.

STAMP (Standards-based Measurement of Proficiency)

Chinese STAMP is designed to help assess language learners in middle school and above. This nationally recognized online assessment is used to evaluate our program, place students, and provide students with statistical analysis of their language communication strengths and gaps.
