Soochow Internship and Educational Studies

Integrating language and culture learning with practical career experience makes a powerful combination, and CASLS proudly provides this opportunity for English majors from Soochow University in Suzhou, China. These students spend five months learning from master teachers in elementary classrooms in Eugene and Springfield, Oregon. They introduce Chinese culture as they participate in the American educational system and expand their English language skills.
