Partnering with Tamagawa University in Japan and the UO American English Institute, CASLS hosts undergraduates from Tamagawa’s teacher preparation program. Students enroll in intensive English language courses and complete teaching internships in Eugene-area schools. The program provides students with a cultural exchange experience that prepares them to be successful teachers in Japan while strengthening Japanese language education in local schools.
