Flagship Bound
The UO Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures (EALL) and the Flagship Program offers highly motivated underclassmen with intermediate level proficiency (CHN300 and CHN400) a Flagship-Bound program with individual language tutors and support to help students gain the requisite language proficiency for entry into the Flagship Scholar program. Interested student must complete the Flagship-Bound application and statement of intent to pursue advanced-level Mandarin.
Flagship Undergraduate Scholar
Students with intermediate-high to advanced-mid proficiency who have applied for and been granted formal admission to a Flagship Program. Flagship undergraduate students agree to fulfill the following program requirements:

The National Security Education Program is a leader in educating United States citizens about foreign cultures in order to enhance international cooperation and security and to strengthen U.S. competitiveness.?Language Flagship alumni with demonstrated professional language proficiency will work with their Flagship institution to apply for the national The Language Flagship Certification.
