There are three final project options for seniors completing their UO Language Flagship program requirements. Students begin working with the Flagship Academic Director and their departmental advisor prior to their Capstone year abroad to determine the appropriate project based on their academic and career objectives.
- Senior thesis ¨C A department thesis advisor must oversee the academic content and credits of the thesis. The thesis can be written in Chinese or English, depending on the preference of your advisor. Theses submitted in English need a related 12-15 page research paper in Chinese.
- Honors research paper ¨C The Flagship Academic Director will oversee research and EALL or Asian Study honors credits. Research must be summarized in a 12-15 page paper.
- Flagship Reflective Report ¨C Flagship instructors will oversee research and EALL or Asian Study credits. Report may focus on a social, academic, or internship related topic using capstone year journal entries to write a 12-15 page paper.
