The National Security Education Program provides a unique funding opportunity
for U.S. students to study world regions critical to U.S. interests.
STAR
TALK Project
STARTALK project will provide funding for programs to offer Arabic and
Chinese language study for four hundred high school students and professional
development opportunities for four hundred teachers of Arabic and Chinese.
The goal of this pilot program is to increase the number and expertise
of students and teachers in Arabic and/or Chinese.

he National Office for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language established
the Confucius Institute to enhance the understanding of the Chinese language
