Test Purpose
Urdu CAP is designed to provide a general estimate of students' language proficiency. Test results can be used for reflective teaching and program evaluation.
CASLS developed Urdu CAP in partnership with the North African Language Resource Center (NALRC) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. NALRC provides resources and training to enhance the teaching and learning of African languages. The center builds networks among African language teachers, professional language teacher associations, and other foreign language centers. The U.S. Department of Education Title VI program funded Urdu CAP.
