I. BACKGROUND INFORMATION FOR TEACHERS

Teacher Instructions

  1. Before class prepare the handouts and the transparencies.

  2. Distribute Handout 1 and have the students do the activity in pairs. Show Transparency 1 (photos) to help the students do the activity.

  3. Have a couple of pairs write their maps on the blackboard and present them to the class.

  4. Distribute Handout 2 and have the students do the activity in pairs. Review the answers using Transparency 2.
