Teacher Instructions

  1. Before class prepare a handout and a transparency.

  2. Introduce Ryoko yojinshu and explain Activity 1 using the transparency. Distribute the handout and have the students do the activity in pairs. Check the answers using the transparency. 
  3. Repeat the same process for Activity 2.

Activity 1

江戸時代に東海道を旅行をした人も、地図やガイドブックを使いました。1810年に書かれた「旅行用心集１」を見てみましょう。次の文は旅行する前に、しておいたこと、注意したことです。今でもすることに○、しないことにＸをつけなさい。
