Community College Connections

More and more students begin their college careers at two-year universities. As a result, ensuring that these students can progress seamlessly from a community college to a four-year university is imperative. This type of program articulation is best achieved by creating communities of faculty who work and learn together.

We worked with the University of Oregon Department of Romance Languages and Lane Community College (LCC) to align language curriculum across the two colleges. The articulation project helped ensure students can  transfer from one institution to another without needing to retaking courses. Faculty from both colleges participated in professional development opportunities to address shared challenges, develop resources, improve pedagogy, and transform teaching practices.
